WULONG-STYLE BLACK TEA High Mountain AliShan [8 grams] is made from ChinXing oolong subvariety. It is hand-plucked at an elevation of 1500 meters (4921 feet). Shaped into semi-ball rolls, this tea is delicate, with sweet floral notes followed by a fruity acidity and a soft honey lingering. It is smooth and full-bodied, as expected from a good high mountain tea.
HONEY-SCENTED BLACK TEA [8 grams] is made from DaYeh oolong subvariety. It is grown at WuHe, Hualien in Taiwan's scenic east coast and made by Mr. Lin, a frequent winner at local tea competitions. Its mesmerizing honey scent is derived from the the tea leaves' natural defenses when bug-bitten. Full-bodied with an exotic acidity, with little bitterness and astringency, this tea is a real treat!
RUBY 18 BLACK TEA [8 grams] is a big-leaf cultivar grown in YuChi township, near Taiwan's scenic Sun Moon Lake. It has a minty, spicy aroma of cinnamon. Its taste is clean, with a smooth mouthfeel. Well-balanced in bitterness and astringency, its malty bold end notes is reminiscent of good Assam teas.
