HIGH MOUNTAIN WULONG ShanLinXi Roast [8 grams] is grown and harvested from tea farms in the ShanLinXi mountain region, with elevation about 5900 feet. Blessed with a perfect climate, soil rich with minerals and organic substances, and perpetual cloud and mists, tea leaves grow thick and rich in nutrients. This tea is lightly oxidized (~20%) and roasted to create a smoky nutty fragrance. TUNG TING WULONG Formosa Red [8 grams] is made using lighter oxidation and oven roasting, a recent trend in Tung Ting oolong processing. Unlike the strong character of a traditional Tung Ting, Formosa Red is easy to drink. Its taste is complex and mellow with a soft floral and fruity fragrance. The color of the brewed tea is amber with a reddish hue. Tung Ting oolong's signature roast is present, due to slow electric oven roasting extending over several weeks. [See full product details.]
WULONG-STYLE BLACK TEA High Mountain AliShan [8 grams] is premium black tea made from small-leaf oolong tea leaves hand-plucked at an elevation above 1500 meters (4921 feet). It is fully oxidized and shaped into semi-ball tea leaves by a process similar to Taiwan’s High Mountain oolong. The brewed tea is dark amber. It offers a smooth, sweet, and full-bodied taste without acidity or bitterness. There is little astringency, compared with classic black teas made from large-leaf Assamica tea leaves.
